Yousuf Raza Gilani's seven votes were rejected and the opposition is now considering taking the matter to the Election Tribunal.
In a press conference held immediately after the election of the chairman and deputy chairman of the Senate, PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said, "We will either go to court or launch a no-confidence motion by taking a joint decision." But the final decision will be made by the PDM.
