Antibodies 'cocktails' are also useful against new strains of the corona virus

St. Louis: U.S. scientists have discovered that if more than one antibody is used together, it could be effective against new strains of the Covid 19 virus that have emerged in recent months.

It should be noted that the concept of "antibody therapy" in the treatment of corona virus has become very popular in the last one year.

However, the antibodies that have been found to be useful in defeating older strains of the novel corona virus have not been shown to be more effective against recent strains of the same virus separately.

To solve this problem, scientists at several American research institutes decided to combine different types of antibodies to test against new strains of the corona virus.

The experiments performed on living human cells in the laboratory yielded promising results, summarizing that the 'cocktail' of antibodies performed very well against all types of corona virus, old and new. Demonstrated

Although these are preliminary experiments, medical experts are confident that the simultaneous use of multiple antibodies in the field will not only be useful against all existing strains of the corona virus but will also prove to be an effective treatment for those strains of the corona virus. That could happen in the next few months.
