T20 World Cup; India's green signal to give visa and security to Pakistani team

LAHORE: The Indian board has hinted at issuing visas to Pakistani players and officials in the T20 World Cup, an important development expected at the ICC chief executives' meeting on March 30.

According to media reports, the Indian board has given the green signal for issuing visas and providing security. According to PCB sources, neither the ICC nor the Indian board has responded to the PCB at the moment. A formal Indian announcement of visa and security guarantees is required.

This will be discussed at a meeting of ICC chief executives and board members. In the first phase, the chief executive meeting is scheduled for March 30 and 31, after which the ICC board members are scheduled to meet in early April.

The two virtual meetings will discuss the future of the World Cup, including visas and issues for the Pakistan team. Direct participation of Pakistan squad in the World Cup has nothing to do with PCB and Indian board. This is an ICC event and it will update the PCB.
