Pakistan Stock exchange; Investors lost more than Rs 399 billion in one week


 KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) sank by Rs399.49 billion during the last business week.


According to News, despite positive indicators on the economic horizon, trading activity on the Pakistan Stock Exchange last week was in the grip of the worst downturn. Last week's Senate election, political instability and rising inflation have weighed on the market, while fears of future Corona cases affecting trade and exports have also been disappointing.



 

In the weekly trade, the index levels of 45,000, 44,000 and 43,000 points also fell. Due to the uncertainty on the political horizon, investors took a cautious approach. Weekly trading was down 4 sessions and up 1. Due to the recession, the investors sank Rs. 399.49 billion, which reduced the total market capitalization to Rs. 77.92 billion.

In the weekly trade, the 100 Index lost 2049.27 points to close at 43788.08 points while the KSE 30 Index lost 1024.46 points to close at 18149.37 points. The KMI 30 Index lost 3888.26 points to close at 72524.63 points and the KMIPSX Index lost 1151.17 points to close at 21677.36 points.
