ISLAMABAD: Government up-and-comer Sadiq Sanjrani crushed Yousuf Raza Gilani, joint up-and-comer of Opposition Alliance PDM, and was reappointed as Chairman Senate. 

Sadiq Sanjarani got 48 votes and Yousuf Raza Gilani got 42 votes while 8 votes were dismissed out of which 7 votes had a place with Yousuf Raza Gilani.
